Request Rules

  • Has it been Requested Before? By using the Search Button in the top right corner of your browser you can search this forum, or the whole website by entering the "keywords" of your request.
  • Have you Searched for this request on other sites (eg. Xplane.org)? By searching on other Xplane related sites for your request can save heaps of time for the people trying to answer your request. If you can't access the site chances are you haven't registered. If so, sign up, most of the time ITS FREE!
  • Have you tried Google (or any other search engine)? By "Googling" your request, your not only searching forum or a website but the Whole Global Web Network.
  • Always type what you're requesting in the Topic's Title. Please don't just write "Aircraft Request" or "Paint" this can really bug people and it's not helping your cause either.
  • Be specific (eg. ANA RR 747-400 with a green stripe on the tail and pictures of cats stuck in buckets along the side). Being specific means you're less likely to get answers that aren't to your liking.

  • Don't request people to make Aircraft/Scenery or other stuff, unless advised to do so.
  • DON'T WRITE YOUR WHOLE REQUEST IN A STUPID STYLE (EG. FULL CAPS)
  • Use spell check, and use appropriate grammer. If English is not your first language, have a native English speaker to help you. Nonsense posts will be deleted immediately, regardless of the language of the poster.
  • Don't "dig up" old posts. If its over 6 months old, it should be considered a closed topic, except in very rare and special circumstances!
  • Search for your request before you post it!
  • Help others out!

Due to recent quibbles, I have decided to compile a list of every aircraft available today as freeware. Obviously, this list is not complete, nor will it ever be (hopefully because new stuff becomes available). This thread is ABSOLUTELY NOT the place to request ANYTHING...not a site, plane, or purple people eater. The only thing that should be posted here are additions to the list. Before adding another post, please consider the quality of the aircraft. If it has a "generic" panel, poor flight dynamics, or a wheel where the tail should be...don't post it just because it is not on the list. If the aircraft is of good quality, then by all means, add a post in the following format:

Aircraft Name- Website
(Example: Cessna 182RG- www.examplesite.com)

This will allow me to easily add it to the list. Also, please check the list before adding anything...or else.
This is intended as a resource for all those new to x-plane, or old but lazy, who do not know how to/want to search for these aircraft. SO CHECK HERE FIRST BEFORE POSTING!
Once this thread catches on, I will be adding a thread for Liveries, Scenery, and Payware goodies.
So now NOBODY has an excuse to request something that exists...if you do, all rules of common courtesy will be abolished, and you will be rediculed mercilessly until you cry like Dick Cheney at an Earth Day parade...YOUVE BEEN WARNED...

Now, Without Further Adieu....

Note:(3D) denotes 3D panel :)

This should be pinned. I wonder how many people will start new request topics asking for the planes on this list.

No aircraft are barred; PLEASE submit sites for WWI, WWII, WWIII(?) aircraft...as long as it's flown, a quality model, and someone has it, I will add it to the list! Hopefully, this will help "accelerate" the curve for the noob's and old's alike and get them spending less time on searching, and more time on creating! A thank you must go out to all of you who supported this now (hopefully) one-stop-shop for x-plane...
I must thank Andrei~...While some of your posts faced some criticism, I understand the difficulty involved in finding aircraft. I encourage you to continue posting...anything (except requests for existing aircraft :) ) You and I, as well as many, are the future of this community...Involvement is all we need, the rest will follow with time.
Six7, I must also thank you for taking the initiative to post your qualms with the way things are conducted here. You were quite tasteful with you comments, and I hope I have helped you regain some faith in XPFW...If you have anymore comments, please PM me, or anyone for that matter; your insights are much appreciated, and taken to heart by many.
So enough of the compliments and courtesies, let's get the aircraft I've missed on the list, and get the XPFW train rolling again at full steam...or 101% N1 ;) !

As for the people who request aircraft on the list...they "will be rediculed mercilessly until [they] cry like Dick Cheney at an Earth Day parade"...their topics should not even be read...

Can you sort the list alphabetically? Except if a type begins with an "x" then it should be in the group it belongs ;)

I'd like to "request" also the addition of the type BBJ to the list.

Not to be a d***, but can you pat your stomach whilst you rub your head whilst you jump on one foot whilst you sing the chinese national anthem in french?...One thing at a time, my friend...alphabetizing, along with many goodies, will come in time. But idea duely noted!
And submission added...in my hanger as well ;)
See this guy for examples of good posts!

Hey all, the insomniac has struck again...I just added some classic warbirds (mostly fighters). Ya'll (yes I'm from Texas, cope) can thank Metallica for inspiration...Harvester of Sorrow...always results in good things! The Korean/Vietnam jets will come online tomorrow, and (hopefully) the modern jets list will be added before I leave. BTW, I have a B-17 that I downloaded as freeware, but I cannot remember where I got it. If someone could submit the site(s), I am sure many would appreciate it.

Hey guys, looks like the Org got updated and some of the links may have changed. I'm about to jump on a 767-300 for my flight back to SFO so I'll have to do a thorough check when I return tonight.

Hey all-
Because of the 10,000,000^13 other things going on in my life, I have not been able to update this list in FAR too long. Many links still work, some do not. While the ones to the .org may not work, it doesn't mean the plane is not on the .org. SO if you get a dead link to the .org for now, DO NOT POST A REQUEST UNTIL YOU USE THEIR SEARCH FEATURE! Once the MD-80 beta is out in the next week or so (crap did I let that slip), I will update the list... :ninja:

Many links out of date or broken. No sense in endless posts beating a dead horse... closing thread for now - will be reopened if/when Nick finds the time to update it.
