The airplane depicted is ship 178, manufacturer no. 47867, a CF6-50C2 equipped DC-10-30 that was delivered to Alitalia
on December 18, 1975 and registered I-DYNC “Luigi Pirandello”. It was leased to Sabena for a few months in 1982 but
continued service for Alitalia until November 1985. Later operators include Eastern Airlines (N392EA), Continental Airlines,
Continental Micronesia, Avensa and – since September 2002 – Santa Barbara Airlines.
