Nevertheless, I would still encourage you to start one as a learning experience. After all, if Airbus doesn't make significant changes to the thing in the next few years, it could very well be a major head start!

I totally agree .
@ Southbest737
I think modelling an aircraft which is (in real life) still in planning could be a big waste of time. Who says that the A350 will look like the concept on all advertisments.
Did you see the previous concepts of Boeings 787 (7E7) and what is in "production"?

They're made up based on projected performance data published in Airbus's promotional literature. As gilbernl said, there's no guarantee any of it will be accurate once the final aircraft appears, but it's something to work from if it's a project you're willing to take. But expect significant changes once the real aircraft is launched.

Hey, i think we had a small misunderstanding: I didn“t say i wanted to start building an A350, i just gave Southbest737 the Link to Blender.

There is a very good freeware one at http://forums.x-plan...s&showfile=9881, however no 3D cockpit yet. That sucks.

This file was recently added to the download manager at the .org. His reply is relevant to the topic, so I think it's an exception to this rule.
