Since Airbus has released more details and information on the A350 XWB can anyone make an A350 (-800, -900, and/or -1000 series)? I know there was a thread about this but since that was back when there weren't many details and an exact design of the A350 I wanted to open this subject back up for discussion.

We do not accept aircraft requests as it takes roughly 500 hours to build one. I mean, if you have money to burn, it can be arranged. Otherwise, please do not post aircraft requests.

I don't believe one exists right now. Not pay or freeware. You could try to make one on your own. Try using something like blender to model it if you can. For a few tips, go to General Discussion/ F/O Lounge/ Developer school/ New proj. You will see that there are better ways to make planes in blender than one might initially think. Have fun if you decide to do any of that!

I wish you the best of luck, Pilot21. The reason nobody has done it is because no real data exists on the A350 yet. Things such as wing dimensions, airfoils, even engine specs are not confirmed. While you can easily make something that will "look" like an A350, there's no way of determining if it will fly like one. Then again, by the time you build a 3D model (probably going to take you 6-12 mths depending on your skill level) there may be significantly more data available. That being said, I wouldn't count on seeing some solid numbers until the scheduled 2011 first flight approaches.

Nevertheless, I would still encourage you to start one as a learning experience. After all, if Airbus doesn't make significant changes to the thing in the next few years, it could very well be a major head start!

There are already A350s for FSX and I think FS2004. I wonder where they got their data from.

I totally agree .

@ Southbest737

I think modelling an aircraft which is (in real life) still in planning could be a big waste of time. Who says that the A350 will look like the concept on all advertisments.
Did you see the previous concepts of Boeings 787 (7E7) and what is in "production"?
There“s no better aircraft to fly with ...A340-642 ;)

They're made up based on projected performance data published in Airbus's promotional literature. As gilbernl said, there's no guarantee any of it will be accurate once the final aircraft appears, but it's something to work from if it's a project you're willing to take. But expect significant changes once the real aircraft is launched.

Hey, i think we had a small misunderstanding: I didn“t say i wanted to start building an A350, i just gave Southbest737 the Link to Blender. ;) By the way: i totally agree with you, there are maybe not enough specifications of the A350 available yet. Airbus has frozen the Design of the plane a few months ago, but there are still many information required to build an realistic A350.

I know there are some tutorials on how to make a plane in Plane-Maker. Could those video tutorials help in making an A350?

There is a very good freeware one at http://forums.x-plan...s&showfile=9881, however no 3D cockpit yet. That sucks.
