Hey everyone just to let you know I'm out of hospital and walking
about freely at my own will, though I am top heavy having this(below)
on, I have to keep it on for around 3 months:
Posted Image

Having trouble getting upstairs, they took a bit of bone out of my hip
to create the bone graft for my neck.
Anyway just letting you all know everything is fine on my side of the world.

Just received news on when I'm getting this Halo off, October the 6th.
I'm on the home stretch now... though I will have to wear a neck brace for another few months...
But I'm still glad ill be able to bend my back.

I'll report any further news if there is any... well obviously there will be more news, but... you know what I mean.

I'm out... well it was only day surgery and the whole procedure was 15 minutes, I've been out since the 6th.
I am now in a neck brace thing... I can't find an image of it anywhere, its not like a normal neck brace... oh anyway
I have to be in it for 3+ months... Summer, Christmas, New Year and the Holidays will be lived through in this, that means I'm going to be swelteringly hot.
The neck brace is actually more annoying to wear than the halo, mainly because I can feel it touch my face also it goes really high up the back of my head which is really uncomfortable.

I will update my progress when I can.
James

For now It's off.

I found an Image of the contraption I'm wearing:

Posted Image

"I can't see anything" you may say, and thats exactly right!!!
I'm wearing nothing!!!

"When you say you are wearing nothing..."
NO!! I didn't mean it like that!

"like what?"
Err... like, um... you know... er, like lots of skin... that king of nothing.

"No, no, I was going to say, when you say you are wearing nothing I assume you mean you still wearing clothes. So when you said that you..."
Damn you!!!

"Well it's not my fault that you have a sick mind"
Go away...

Hey with any luck you might get the local FM radio station on that contraption. Just turn the left screw for the station and the right for the volume.If You're really lucky you'll get the local airport control. Good luck to you, I hope it all goes well for you.

Do you lot over there get Internet in hospital. Us lot downunder are lucky if we get a pair of drums. :-)

Guess What It's OVER!!!
Put on my brace for the last time today, though sad and mournful seeing it go I am glad that I won't have to live through the rest of this cold summer with it.

21st May, 2009 - 12th Feb, 2010 =
* 268
* 8 months, 23 days
* 39 weeks

I will have several check ups every now and then, so if something happens I will update this topic.

Thanks for seeing through this adventure with me,
James
